Event Description

This exclusive institutional gathering brings together the most important real estate investment vehicles, institutional allocators and private wealth investors that are actively investing and developing across Texas and Mexico. Over 300 of the leading Mexico and Texas based private equity real estate funds, institutional investors and other real estate professionals will come together to network and discuss investment opportunities, allocations, and the performance of all  real estate related asset classes across these regions. It is our intention that this meeting will serve as a catalyst in generating increased cross border institutional real estate transactions between Mexico and Texas in the years to come.

Rafael Anchia has served seven terms in the Texas Legislature representing Dallas County.  Rep. Anchia Chairs the International Trade and Intergovernmental Affairs Committee, which maintains jurisdiction over trade and investment between Texas, the world’s 10th largest economy, and other nations.  From 2011-2015, he served as an appointee of President Barack Obama to the Advisory Committee for Trade Policy and Negotiation, which counsels the White House and United States Trade Representative on trade and investment agreements.  Last year, he was also elected by his peers as Chair of the Mexican-American Legislative Caucus (MALC), the oldest and largest Latino legislative caucus in the U.S.  A forceful advocate for the bi-national relationship, Chairman Anchia represents Texas in the Border Legislative Conference comprised of legislators from each of the ten Mexican and U.S. border states.  In 2011, the Mexican government bestowed upon him the Premio Ohtli, the highest honor awarded to Americans who have worked to help the Mexican diaspora. Chairman Anchia graduated cum laude from Southern Methodist University and served as a Senior Fellow at Tulane University Law School.  In 2014, Rep. Anchia was awarded a Cahn Fellowship at the John F. Kennedy School of Government at Harvard University. Chairman Anchia is a Co-Founder and Managing Director in the international real estate private equity firm, Civitas Capital.
