Meet the Team

  • Roy Carmo Salsinha

    PRESIDENT, CEO

    Mr. Salsinha is President and CEO of Carmo Companies, a consortium of private equity and real estate related service businesses. He is responsible for the firm’s strategy as well as institutional investor, private equity and development partner ventures. Mr. Salsinha is a seasoned investor relations real estate professional with an extensive track record, working with vehicles based in Latin America and other emerging markets on their fundraising efforts. Prior to founding Carmo Companies, Mr. Salsinha worked at Markets Group, LLC where he was focused on building platforms within key Latin American economies aimed at introducing international allocators to real estate funds and developers in the region that were seeking capital financing options in the 1-3 year term. He also worked significantly with US-based real estate vehicles that were seeking LATAM institutional capital, particularly from the private wealth space. He holds a Bachelor of Business Administration in International Business from Hofstra University, New York. Mr. Salsinha is fluent in English, Portuguese and can communicate in Spanish proficiently.

  • Marjorie Cucalon

    PARTNER

    Based in Miami, Ms. Cucalon is a Partner and Strategic Advisor at Carmo Companies. In 2004, she founded Baltrax International Ltd., a consulting firm involved in advisory services to USA and Latin American companies seeking funds for fixed income, private equity and real estate. In 2006, Ms. Cucalon founded Baltrax Asset Management, a registered investment advisor specializing in tactical asset allocation. Prior to Baltrax, she developed the asset management division including developing a fund of funds product and structured derivatives notes for Sterling Financial Asset Management. Prior to Sterling, Ms. Cucalon was a Senior Investment Officer at Americas Trust Bank and held senior positions at Union Bank of Switzerland N.Y., Promex Finamex Financial, Banamex and Dai-Ichi Kangyo Bank. Ms. Cucalon received a BBA from Bernard Baruch NY and completed her post graduate studies at NYIF. She is fluent in Spanish and English.

  • Erick Cruz

    SENIOR VICE PRESIDENT, PRIVATE EQUITY

    Mr. Cruz is responsible for sponsorship and delegate registrations at Carmo Companies. He has over three years selling conferences, including Private Wealth events across Latin America. Prior to his conference career he was a financial consultant for a full-service investment banking firm and a Licensed Real Estate Salesperson for Rapid Realty. He graduated from Herbert H. Lehman college in Bronx, NY, with a BBA in Business Administration, and minor in Computer Information Systems. He is fluent in Spanish and English.

  • Catherine Correia

    VICE PRESIDENT, REAL ESTATE & PRESIDENT, MARKETING

    Ms. Correia is a creative innovator with a demonstrated history of success in the marketing industry. As Vice President of Real Estate and President of Marketing at Carmo Companies, she oversees all marketing initiatives across the firm’s global conference portfolio and works directly with general partners to coordinate participation and engagement. In her dual role, Ms. Correia leads strategy, branding, and communications efforts while supporting Carmo’s real estate division in developing and executing high-impact events that connect top-tier managers with leading allocators. Before joining Carmo Companies, Ms. Correia worked as a Branding and Marketing Coordinator for Brexlink, one of New York’s fastest-growing tech companies. She holds a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from Farmingdale State College in New York and is fluent in English and Portuguese, with proficiency in Spanish.

  • Nicolas Rodriguez

    VICE PRESIDENT, PRIVATE EQUITY

    Mr. Rodriguez is an investor relations professional responsible for Carmo’s Latin American private wealth and private equity clients. He works closely with single-family offices, multifamily offices, institutional investors and private equity funds based in Latin America and the US. Prior to working at Carmo Companies, he was the investor relations assistant to the CFO of ProColombia, a non-profit organization from the Colombian government, which helps international groups invest in Colombia. Mr. Rodriguez graduated with a bachelor’s degree in Business from Universidad de Los Andes, Bogotá, Colombia. He is fluent in Spanish and English.

  • Renato Ferreira

    VICE PRESIDENT, REAL ESTATE

    Mr. Ferreira is an investor relations professional responsible for Carmo’s Latin American private wealth and private equity clients. He works closely with single family offices, multifamily offices, institutional investors, private equity real estate funds and institutional quality Real Estate Developers that are based in Brazil. Prior to working at Carmo Companies, he was a self-employed Lawyer in Brazil, and worked for Homero Costa, the first law office in Belo Horizonte and one of the most prestigious in the region. He is also the CEO of IDS Rio Doce, a non-profit organization in Governador Valadares MG, which helps people fight for social rights, the protection of the environment and support the government with social and ecologic education. Mr. Ferreira graduated with a bachelor’s Degree in Law from FADIVALE, Minas Gerais, Brazil. He is fluent in Portuguese and English.

  • Flavia Correia

    INVESTOR RELATIONS, REAL ESTATE

    Ms. Correia is a seasoned investor relations professional. She collaborates with institutional investors such as pensions, endowments, foundations, family offices and fund managers on virtual conferences focused on fundraising and deployment of capital. She also assists the Carmo production team by developing content and event panel topics covering Private Equity, Private Credit/Debt, Real Estate, Infrastructure and Venture/Growth Capital. She joined Carmo Companies in the spring of 2020. Prior to working at Carmo Companies, she was a paralegal for a law firm on Long Island, New York. Mr. Correia graduated with an associates degree from Nassau Community College. She is fluent in English, Portuguese and proficient Spanish.

  • Alisson Pena

    MARKETING ASSISTANT

    Alisson Pena is a Marketing Assistant at Carmo Companies. He works closely with the sales and marketing team, handling day to day outreach and meeting scheduling. He also helps build client data and works on Carmo’s Latin America specific events. Prior to working at Carmo Companies, he worked as Fashion Designer in one of the largest factories in Parana State, Brazil. He also had the privilege to work with stylists and fashion coordinator in New York City. Mr. Pena graduated with a bachelor’s degree focused on Fashion, from Federal University of Technology in Brazil. He is fluent in Portuguese and English.

  • Melissa Fuentes-Ribeiro

    INVESTOR RELATIONS, REAL ESTATE

    As a Marketing Associate for Carmo Companies, Melissa Fuentes-Ribeiro brings a unique blend of creativity in marketing and real estate. In addition, Melissa actively contributes to Carmo's investor relations team, where she directly engages with prominent family offices and institutional investors, particularly in matters pertaining to conference participation. With a background as a licensed real estate agent since 2013, Melissa possesses a deep understanding of the industry and a keen eye for effective marketing strategies. Her experience in real estate sales and client relations provides her with valuable insights into the needs and preferences of target audiences. Melissa's exceptional skills in market research, digital marketing, and content creation enable her to develop innovative campaigns that drive brand awareness and generate leads. Guided by her favorite motto, "Expand always in all ways" Melissa exemplifies a mindset of continuous growth and embraces new opportunities to excel in her role at Carmo Companies.

  • Carla Gallardo

    INVESTOR RELATIONS

    Ms. Gallardo leads the Carmo EMEA's conferences and GP relations, leveraging her extensive and diverse background in Investor Relations. With expertise in bridging Private Market Alternative Investments and Private Capital, she has built a strong track record in the consultancy services industry. Before joining Carmo Companies, Carla held senior management roles at Real Estate Funds and PropTech companies in Spain, where she successfully developed and executed capital raising strategies and portfolio management initiatives. She has a proven ability to work with European Family Offices, leading capital raising operations and strategy for fund placement agencies focused on Private Equity, Venture Capital, and Private Debt. Carla graduated with a bachelor´s degree in Law from Oxford Brookes University and a Legal Practice Course from the University of Oxford. She is fluent in Spanish, English and Portuguese.

  • Mariana Reyes

    INVESTOR RELATIONS

    Ms. Reyes is an Investor Relations Professional at Carmo Companies, responsible for managing relationships with institutional investors, pension funds, and family offices across Latin America. She supports Carmo’s flagship conferences connecting institutional allocators with alternative asset managers across private equity, credit, and real estate. Prior to joining Carmo, she worked at Masstro Holding AG and DiDi Chuxing, gaining experience in fintech, data integration, and market analytics. Ms. Reyes holds a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering from Tecnológico de Monterrey and is fluent in English and Spanish.

  • Alma Alejandra Richardson

    VICE PRESIDENT, US PRIVATE MARKETS

    Ms. Richardson is Vice President of US Private Markets at Carmo Companies, where she supports the firm’s investor engagement initiatives and helps facilitate relationships with institutional investors, including pensions, endowments, foundations, family offices, and fund managers across Private Markets. Prior to joining Carmo Companies, she founded and managed a luxury consignment business, later expanding into Prima Vault, a purpose-driven resale brand curating authenticated designer goods and supporting underrepresented entrepreneurs. Ms. Richardson completed executive education in Entrepreneurship through Cornell University’s Bank of America Institute for Women’s Entrepreneurship. She is a member of 100 Women in Finance, Summit and the UBS Project Female Founder Accelerator. Ms. Richardson is fluent in English and Spanish.

  • Daniela Alvarez

    INVESTOR RELATIONS

    Ms. Alvarez is an Investor Relations professional at Carmo Companies, where she supports the firm’s investor engagement initiatives and manages relationships with institutional investors, pension funds, and family offices across the United States. In her role, she helps facilitate communication between investors and fund managers, contributes to capital-raising efforts, and strengthens the firm’s presence within Private Markets. Prior to joining Carmo Companies, Ms. Alvarez developed a strong foundation in international business and digital communication, leveraging her expertise in strategy, content creation, and marketing to support organizational growth. She holds a Master of Science in International Business Administration and a Bachelor of Science in International Business. Ms. Alvarez is fluent in English and Spanish.

  • Christopher Gallo

    ASSOCIATE, CAPITAL FORMATION & INVESTOR RELATIONS

    Mr. Gallo focuses on capital formation and investor relations at Carmo Companies, where he works with institutional investors, family offices, and private market investment managers participating in the firm's global conference platform. He helps facilitate relationships between limited partners and general partners through curated meetings, investor introductions, and industry events. Mr. Gallo began his career on Wall Street, at a boutique investment banking firm, working with high-net-worth individuals across public and private investment opportunities. He brings over a decade of experience in investor engagement, relationship development, and connecting capital allocators with investment managers across the private market ecosystem.

  • Javier Grullon

    INVESTOR RELATIONS

    Mr. Grullon is a results-oriented Investor Relations professional with over 20 years of experience driving high-value engagement across the private markets and financial sectors. Currently leading strategic initiatives at Carmo Companies, he specializes in bridging the gap between institutional investors and unique market opportunities. With a distinguished track record at firms such as Markets Group and IQPC, Mr. Grullon excels in managing complex program logistics and large-scale forum operations. His extensive expertise in attendee registration and stakeholder management ensures the seamless execution of premier industry events.

  • Alina Hernandez

    BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT, AMERICAS

    Alina Hernandez is a Business Development professional at Carmo Companies, where she supports investor and sponsor engagement across the firm’s private markets meetings. She works closely with GPs, LPs, and industry professionals, assisting with outreach, relationship management, and event coordination. Alina has a background in business development, where she supported client outreach, relationship management, and strategic partnership coordination across client-facing initiatives. She brings a detail-oriented and relationship-driven approach to her work. Alina holds a degree in Interior Design and Historical Architecture, which has provided her with a strong foundation in attention to detail, organization, and structured thinking - skills that support her work in client engagement and event execution.
